Michael & Wife Donna

Hi everyone,

Thank you for visiting this site. 20 years ago I left the army after 7 years of service. Prepared for war but involved in peacetime duties.

Studied International Relations/Strategic Studies with a focus on Defense Policy because I wanted a better understanding of what was going on in the world.

To be honest, I'm still somewhat clueless but my studies gave me skills to narrow truths from untruths and coupled with my Christian faith, began to see world events through a lens of hope that Christ alone brings. There's no doubt that the world is a more dangerous place than 20 years ago.

The thing about having a military background is that you can leave the army but it'll never leave you. Ask one of my favorite prepper's at Graywolf Survival  He's got a great website writing what he knows and is one of the best sites out there when it come to prepping and survival.

I was trained in jungle warfare, survival techniques and fighting in urban areas. I used to question what I had learned and practiced in the army but now am glad I was exposed to all those things. Together with my knowledge of international analysis, it gives me a skill set to better serve you in your own prepping journey.

This website can help you in 3 ways.

Firstly, I wanted to learn more about prepping effectively & rationally for my family & then gather and share that information with those looking to prepare effectively.  I'm not a doomsday prepper nor am I prepping for the zombie apocalypse, though I do enjoy watching “The Walking Dead”.

Secondly, it is really surprising to realize how many people are not prepared at all nor know how to. If you are reading this, then I know that's not you. No supplies, no medical kit etc… They expect supermarkets to be fully stocked forever, fuel to be readily available always. With globalization and the interconnectedness of financial and economic systems coupled with the volatility of the international environment, all it takes is for something somewhere to go wrong for supplies to run low and for panic to set in. That once friendly neighbor can turn hostile pretty quick in a SHTF situation.

Thirdly, there is so much information on the web and not all of them good or realistic. You won't find anything on the zombie apocalypse here. If you are interested in prepping like me, you can find yourself easily overwhelmed. I wanted a site that would have quality and practical information from around the web for people like myself.

I couldn't find one so I started Survival Curator.  You will see banners for different survival products on this website and from time to time they will change. If you choose to click on them and buy the recommended product I will earn a commission. The purchases you make do not cost any more than you would pay elsewhere and the earnings pay for my overhead and other costs. I will never rent or trade your email address and will never scam you like I have been in the past. I live for an audience of ONE. GOD.

I work as a teacher in a Christian school and have two kids and not much time (who has though, right?).  You can be assured that the information on this website is sound and actionable. Content is written, curated and vetted by myself.  The deal is, I do the research and vetting and you do the reading and application. I would love to also point you in the right direction. Knowledge, Preparedness and Action=Survival.

So, if you are new to prepping or interested in starting then this site is for you. If you consider yourself an expert prepper then please think about sharing your experiences by commenting or even writing for us. Thank you very much for your time and please feel free to Contact Me.
